What's your theme for 2011?

I'm loving the questions Brandon poses in Ten Questions for Planning Out a Year of Blogging.

All of them are good, but this one is especially good:

What Will I Unlearn This Year?

Spinning gif’s are out. So are webrings. You once learned these were cool, and now you’re way behind. Open yourself up for all of your assumptions to be challenged and enter the new year with fewer preconceived ideas about what success must look like. (emphasis mine)

I definitely want to be teachable, flexible, humble and adaptable!

I've already decided my theme in business for 2011 is FOCUS. I have the classic entrepreneurial habit of coming up with gobs of great ideas. The problem of course, is that I could get a lot more done if I would just pick something and stick with it!

What about you? Do you have a theme for 2011?

Thanks for the information! You are always on target and I love Brandon's questions.

I too have decided that this is the year for focusing. I tend to have too many projects and plans in the air at one time. I have made one goal for 2011 of focusing in order to accomplish so much more personally and professionally, but it is definitely a daily challenge.

  2. I just want to say, "Thank You!" I have been learning so much from you; keep up the great work! Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge.

  3. I really appreciate your blog and the information you share with us. You couldn't be more spot on. Focus is what I am working on. I spread myself too thin then wonder why I didn't get more done. It is the theme of my life for 2011.

  4. Thanks, Amy! You have a great blog…
I need to focus, too! ;)

  5. My theme is most definitely BALANCE. I'm trying to balance life, working, blogging, family, relationships, being healthy, etc. It's tough, but it's my biggest goal for 2011.

  6. My theme is DRIVE. Being driven enough to see my dreams and schemes through to the bitter end.

  7. Perfect timing for me. I wrote back in April that my "one word" would be PAUSE. Here's what I wrote and need to remember!

Imagine my life if I'd pause before speaking, pause before buying, pause before judging, pause before eating, pause before getting angry at the driver in front of me, pause to give thanks, pause to love, pause to XXXXXXXXXXXX….

  8. Amy -

Your blog is so great! I am starting year 2 of my blog. My goals are to grow my readership by using your 29 steps to a better blog!

    :)
