OK all, lots of stuff is happening 'round these parts which mostly involves me running around like a chicken with my head cut off. Anyone else?
Needless to say, I've sat down multiple times in the last 2 weeks to get this "How to Write and Launch and Ebook" series published. Weird thing is, every time I do, something else happens which hinders my progress. Mostly it's just that every time I think I've got it, I find something else to add. Ha! It's an ongoing adventure, this ebook thing is.
In any case, I'll tell you this — it's forthcoming in some way, shape or form! But I'm thinking it won't realistically happen before the end of the year…you know, since I'm looking at the calendar and um, well, it's a bit nutso. I'm sure you know how it is. So, let's just all take a vacation and meet again here next year, eh? (Oh my goodness, can you believe that 2011 is almost upon us?!)
What's your blogging schedule looking like through the holidays? Business as usual? Are you taking a break? (Hmmm…I didn't actually consider a break myself until I wrote that just now…)

Here at BloggingWithAmy you'll find tips, tools & tutorials about blogging and websites. In plain English. Want to
No bloggy break for me. I have at least one review that I need to put up and have 2 guest posts going up (they are already done, but I want to be around to respond to comments, etc). Maybe I'll take a social media break, though! LOL
Huh. Am I "allowed" to take a break as a blogger? My first thought was, Will my audience leave me!?!?!?! Ha, maybe that means I NEED a break.
Thanks for offering, maybe I will…
Well… It was not my intention to take a break, but the way things are going… It seems as though a break has been forced on me. I hereby declare December a "blog sabbatical" month at my house. I will be fabulous in the new year. (I can dream…)
Not taking a strict break here but definitely not undertaking any new, ambitious projects until the first of the year. And definitely not feeling bad if I'm not "on" as much as usual. I've noticed my readers aren't as active either…everyone's busy!
I've got things sketched out for rest of year, but there will be a break in there. I am hoping to focus on goals, hopes, dreams, plans…
I will be taking a blogging break beginning December 22nd through the New Year. *cough – cough* Guest posts are welcome.
I've slowed down on posting, but not breaking entirely. We celebrate Hanukkah anyway, and that's done, but I'm working on another project. I figured now was a good time to slow down since people are so busy.
On the contrary, I have chosen to take this time to change my web server, recreate my website, all while maintaining my current blog. I think I have officially lost my mind! Of course, it's not going as smoothly as I would have liked either. Ugh
You sound like me!
I find my traffic is lower during the holidays – why fight it? I'm posting fewer times per week, and planning great things for January.
Yes, I'm planning things for January too — lots of new stuff for me!
I am happy to read that other blogs are slower. I was taking it personally!
I plan on posting a few times per week but taking time to make long term vision and write a guest post to submit to a much bigger blog that I love. I have been reading the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People and have been reminded to focus on my long term stuff not just the everyday posts.
"I am happy to read that other blogs are slower. I was taking it personally!"

Love that!
Amy
I took a 100 day break when I went back to school teaching this fall. I am just getting back into the blogging swing! Your site has been an awesome inspiration! Thanks and enjoy your "break" (wink wink)

Sometimes taking a break makes getting back to it that much more fun!
I am taking a break of some sort…haven't decide how long yet. Traveling to the Southern Hemisphere with children, trying to get into some sort of regular sleep pattern AND blogging – don't go together very well for me
A number of blogs I have read for three years or more have consistently taken breaks during the month of December. I mean like, the entire month off. They announce it and that's it. I kind of like that.
With that said, I am really looking forward to your posts on this when the time comes.
I am still trying to get totally off ground, however slowly…I will keep pressing on. Each small step will help down the road. May you be richly blessed and enjoy your family this beautiful time of year and be filled with the peace of Jesus in your heart…let go and let God.
Thank you, Natalie. May your Christmas be wonderful as well!
Amy,
You take time for yourself and your family . Time does go too fast. I want you to know your advice is always appreciated and I do look forward to your posts., but we will all be here when you get back from taking time to be with your family and enjoy your home. -I am hoping to start a blog in the New Year -right now can't even decide on a name ( I'm spending more time thinking about this name than if I was buying a new car !) .
Merry Christmas
Thanks Kathy.
LOL!
I used to feel guilty about taking a break or not being able to blog everyday, but especially during the holidays, I find it's essential to spend time with my family. I have a fifteen-year-old who won't have many more years at home, but there will always be time to blog when she is gone.
Also thinking about mortality lately, since my husband's grandpa went home to be with the Lord just before Christmas. Really makes me think if what I'm blogging will make a difference for eternity, ya know?
Thoroughly enjoyed sitting at your table at Savvy Blogging last year at Blissdom! Would love to see you again. I'm praying that this is the year I can really kick off my blog.
I too am doing some major rethinking about 2011 and priorities. Yes, hopefully our paths will cross again in the future!
