Facebook Q&A Highlights: Pinterest, Branding & Promotion

I get asked a lot of GREAT questions on my (new) Facebook page. I answer what I can and sometimes others jump in with their own helpful advice!

I hate the idea of all that useful info slipping off the end of my Timeline, never to be seen again. So, I thought I would do a brief round-up of some of the highlights from the week, just in case you missed 'em or want to revisit them. There's good stuff there.

Sorta important announcement (again)

Before I begin, I implore you to read the next paragraph. Alright, "implore" is a bit strong, but it made me feel smart and important to use it. LOL

(I don't want to sound like a broken record but I still hear from lots-o-people that don't know.) My Facebook page has moved. I am no longer posting at facebook.com/BloggingWithAmy. I have moved to facebook.com/AmyLynnAndrews so either click "Like" in the sidebar of my blog or Like it there so you keep up. Thank you kindly!

The Q&A highlights from Facebook

Alright, here are just 3 of the recent discussions I've had with some of you this week. I hope they're helpful!

  1. A cool new Pinterest plugin was discussed when Myra from My Blessed Life asked about a fancy way to encourage readers to pin your images.
  2. Ashley from Stay-At-Home Daughter had a great question about rebranding her site. Great input here too!
  3. Victoria from Snail Paced Transformations is looking forward to a fun event in her community and wondered how to make the most of it. How do you promote your blog to a specific group? Here was my recommendation…

Oh, and as an added bonus, I posted some things this week that totally cracked me up, so browse a bit if you're there. All I've gotta say is, some of us in this family are hilarious. (They totally must have gotten it from their mother.)

  1. Hi Amy, This was a great way to concisely share good information. Loved the format. Thanks. jana

  2. kudos to you… and thanks.

  3. Amy, I love this…esp since I'm not on facebook. I've been meaning to ask you a question and I guess I'll just do it here. Is there an efficient way to manage affilate links? Thanks.

  4. How do you put the line at the end of your RSS feed that encourages people to comment? I always use a jump break to bring people to my site from the feed, but I think that line might be a good compromise.

    • Hi Kirra, are you talking about the RSS feed (vs. email?). That's controlled in FeedBurner on the Optimize tab –> FeedFlare.

  5. Thanks a ton Amy , for drawing the attention towards the social networking and bookmarking again. Its a very good tool if used.
