How to See Only the Updates of the Facebook Page Owner

I recently heard Mari Smith say that after "Liking" a Facebook page, most fans (up to 70% if I remember correctly) don't ever return to that page; they simply get any updates from the page owner in their News Feed.

This is one of those Facebook tips that is not earth-shattering, but is often overlooked. (I did for quite a while!)

Sometimes I like to check out the pages of a few people I want to especially keep up with (Mari Smith's is one of them, incidentally). However, if that person allows others to write on their Wall, it's no fun to scroll through to find the owner's updates. But you can easily find their posts with one click. Here's how:

How to find Facebook page owner updates

Simply click the page title (underneath their photos) and everyone else's posts get filtered out, leaving only the updates written by the page owner. That way you don't miss anything.

Easy peasy.

  1. This is an especially great tip for those pages who have hundreds of thousands of fans (like Crock Pot Girls).

  2. Hi Amy. It was 90% of people don't return to a Facebook page, but only read their newsfeed. I read Mari's post, too. :)

    • Amy :

Ah, more than I thought. You wouldn't happen to have that link handy would you? (I tried looking for it, but couldn't find it. Lost in my bookmarks I guess. LOL!)

  3. Amy, some friends of mine are wondering about the way FB updated to have a subscription option to get personal updates as opposed to other kinds of updates on people. How does FB differentiate which updates are which? I can't figure out how a person would define which statuses are which. (On the personal walls, not the 'pages')
