How to get started on Quora

Yesterday I mentioned Quora. I've gotten lots of notifications for follows (thank you and right back atchya :) ) so it appears many of you are taking the plunge and signing up. The more I spend time there, the more I can appreciate the value in it so I look forward to connecting with you there.

How to start using Quora

Anyway, I just thought I'd give you a few links which might help you get started on Quora. No doubt the blogosphere will soon be inundated with "how to" posts about Quora (like these 33), but here are two simple ones that I think are great to start with:

  1. How do I get started using Quora? A short and sweet explanation.
  2. Quora: Frequently Asked Questions for New Users

Happy Quora-ing! If you do decided to jump in, follow me here!

    Hello Amy,

With so many social media sites and "Q&A" forums out there already what is the advantage of using Quora in addition too or in lieu of the others?

How can using Quora help me reach my goals? i.e. Becoming a millionaire by the time I am 60? I'm 59 now! ;-)

    Thanks for the great articles.

    • Amy :

You bring up a great point. There are simply way too many social media platforms to explore so we all have to decide which ones will be most beneficial to us. The reason I mention Quora is because there is much chatter in the blogosphere about its potential to impact us as much as Twitter, or more. Of course, time will only tell, but because anyone in any niche could make connections there (given is limitless scope of topics), I think it's definitely worth jumping in and seeing where it might go. (P.S. Great goal! :) )
