I just wrote about the handy tool called ClickToTweet.com. Well, here's another something.
Twitter is rolling out a new design and one of the cool new features is the ability to embed a tweet directly into a blog post. This allows readers to follow, favorite, retweet, reply, or otherwise access Twitter directly from your blog. Cool!
Here's an example of one of my own tweets (this tweet is live so hover over the links/follow button to see what I mean):

Here's how to embed a tweet

Video Notes:
- Login to Twitter.
- Hover over the tweet you want to embed.
- Click "Open" in the top right corner.
- Click "Details" to the right of the timestamp.
- On the next page, click "Embed this Tweet."
- You can change the alignment of the tweet if you want it to be aligned in a particular way in your post.
- Copy the HTML code.
- Paste the HTML code into your blog post under the HTML tab.
- Done!
Ways you can use embedded tweets
- Add useful content to your posts just like you might add a video. Make it a multi-social-media experience.
- Highlight a fun quote or something funny someone said.
- Use tweets as "proof" or examples of information to enhance your post.
- Pick out key tweets during a twitter party and embed them as part of your roundup post.
- If someone said something nice about you or your product on Twitter, embed their tweet. Not only is it a testimonial for you, it's also spreading the love for them (encourage readers to follow them!).
And as for your own tweets, make them worthy of embedding!

Amy, I feel like the only blogger in the world that doesn't utilize Twitter except for auto-tweets of posts (which I'm ashamed of!). I have a Hootsuite account but I don't know how to use it. Do you have any Twitter 101, or how-to-Twitter articles you can point me toward? Desperately need to learn this before BlissDom next week – yikes! Thanks!

I am in the same boat as you both. I have my blog set to auto tweet however I am NEVER on twitter. I guess it's because I don't really see too much return on it as I do Facebook followers. However this embedded tweet tutorial is very cool. I will put this on my LONG list of to-dos

What an awesome idea.
I tried to use this the other day and there was a problem with the code which wouldn't allow the tweet to embed properly. The alternative that I used was to do a screen capture, paste it in MS Paint and then edit it down.
Hi Amy! I try save tweets/facebook comments that are positive about me and my site, especially when it relates directly to my niche, like bankrate.com giving me a thank you tweet for "my great frugal tips" I print screen and keep them in a file on my desktop, called 'praises,' to have for social media and a "what people are saying about me" kind of thing, like a reference. Can I add the praises to my blog for others to see (in my PR page) or do I need to ask permission from the tweeter/poster to use..sorry if it sounds confusing?!
