I spent the weekend doing a little blog housekeeping. You may remember that I launched this blog while I had the flu and as such, I never finished a bunch of things I had intended to do from the beginning.
So on Saturday, along with a new design, I crossed a few more things off my blogging to-do list. Of course, as is usually the case with me, I added some new things to do too…which brings me to the point of my post.
The Importance of Building an Email List
I keep up with 4 of the top bloggers in Third Tribe and all of them talk a lot about the importance of building a mailing list. Doing so is a smart move because it allows you to get in direct contact with people who already have at least a little bit of interest (enough to sign up!) in you and your blog.
There are many advantages to having a mailing list (like product promotion) that I'll cover some other time, but one way to use a mailing list is to connect with your readers via a newsletter.
