Good reads

Update: It's fixed! I didn't get an explanation as to why they suspended my account, but clearly it was done in error because everything is back to normal now. Whew! There's still some good stuff to read here…

So here's what happened…

I woke up yesterday morning, checked my email and was alerted to the fact that my YouTube account has been suspended. Ouch! In fact, super ouch! I do believe it was suspended in error and I've emailed them several times to try to straighten things out and (hopefully) be reinstated. Unfortunately, Google (who owns YouTube) is not the quickest to respond, so here I sit.

Because it has sorta thrown off my rhythm the last two days, I thought I'd do something a little different for my regularly scheduled Thursday post. While I'm concentrating on getting my site back in working order, I thought I'd pass on some helpful reads I've found this week. I'll let the titles speak for themselves.

  1. The A to Z of Excellent Copywriting
  2. Ten Ways to Get More REAL Twitter Followers
  3. How to Get Yourself Moving Again After a Knock Back (A very timely post for me!)

Enjoy!

  1. OH NO! I'm sorry Amy. I'll be hoping that they get it straightened out soon!

    (hang in there)

  2. Thanks for those links, Amy! That first one is a gold mine!

  3. Amy, I am so sorry about your utube problem. I had this issue with Facebook. Yes, I complained and it was fixed. My other friend Hector has the same thing happen to him. I wonder sometimes who is really in control if we are being blocked, or what have you from facebook and utube. Thus, I have backed off the facebook thing because of this and blog more with wordpress. I have two blogs that keep me busy. I really enjoy learning from you. The video on Gmail and signatures was so very helpful to me. Thanks Amy.

  4. I LOVE the first link, "The A to Z of Excellent Copywriting". So much, all in one place. I'll definitely be going back to this again to read deeper (the links within that link).

    Great stuff!!

  5. I don't have a product to sell, but I think I can relate because I sold items on Ebay for a long time. Keeping my 100% pos feedback was absolutely crucial for good business. Sometimes I had to swallow my pride when ppl were throwing bad remarks in my face. My immediate response: Give the item to them for free. I got positive feedback and 8 out of 10 times a repeat customer. So this strategy definitely paid off. Happy Mothers Day
