Even 5 More Ways to Market Your Blog, Ebook, Product or Service

In case you missed the first two posts in this collection:

And now here are even 5 more:

  1. Write an article for a trade magazine. This isn't one I've done myself, but looks interesting!
  2. Get testimonials. Ask others to review your blog or product. Put together some testimonials. Here are some Keys to Effective Testimonials. Consider contacting people who have emailed or commented with nice things to say about you, your blog, ebook, product or service and ask them if they'd mind if you highlight it as a testimonial. Provide a link to their site as a thank you.
  3. Write a comprehensive, easy-to-follow "How to" guide. One thing about blogging is that information gets scattered all over the place and sometimes is hard to find. It's nice when things are all put together neatly and clearly accessible for anyone visiting.
  4. Start or find mastermind group (a.k.a. blogging network). What is a mastermind group? I saw a great post on the subject recently called How To Start a Blogging Network.
  5. Forums. Join a forum with the intention of helping others legitimately. Read the terms of any group you join, but generally, it's acceptable to include a link to your blog or website in your profile signature. Or, add a forum to your own blog and create community yourself! One way to do this is with BlogFrog. (You can also find forums to join there too.) Or, check out How to Find Good Forums in Your Niche for a few tips.

Have you tried any of these? If so, did it work for you or not? If you haven't, do any of them grab you?

Hi, Amy! I have been following you for months and I really like your blog. Your information is always on point. Anyway, I am starting a blog now (actually 2) and I actually thought about adding a forum to them. I also like the suggestion for finding a mastermind group. As for the "how-to" guide, I am not sure if my blogs can use that method. But I will definitely keep it on my marketing list.
