Design and usability is all about making your site a joy to use. It's about providing a great user experience. You want a design that's pleasing to the eyes and you want any visitor to be able to use your site as easily as possible.

I'll tell you from experience, for most of us, this is an ongoing process. I am continually tweaking and restructuring and improving.
