There was a recent discussion on my Facebook page about why some people cannot post links in comments on Facebook while others can.
I did a little research and here are a few possible solutions:
- Encapsulate your link with < and > like: <http://…>
- Hit the space bar twice (although once might work for some) before and after your link.
- Instead of pasting the entire URL, leave out the http:// and start with www instead. (Thanks Turkana, for the suggestion!)
I don't have trouble with the links I post, so I'm not sure if it'll work, but for those of you who are frustrated, it might be worth a try. Let me know if it solves the problem!
(And by the way, if you haven't liked my Facebook page, you might consider it! I post tips there I don't necessarily post here and I'd love to hang out with you there!)

Just as a correction to the proposed solutions, I have just got to the bottom of this issue and number one and two are both the same fix but unnecessarily complicated. Posting ANYTHING after the link works, a space, full stop, further text (that is exactly what adding a space does or encapsulating it which adds a symbol after the link). Number three also works. Clearly something amiss in Facebook's coding.
Thanks JDP.
Worked for me, thanks.
It's very frustrating, I tried all of the above, but linking doesn't work for me for some reason. I commented on a TechCrunch article, and wanted to post a link to a similar post, and the link did not show up properly at all. It was just shown as text. I tried all of your methods, but it really doesn't work at all. How frustrated!
