The Olympics and Back to School Blogging

Little known fact about me: I planned my entire 2012 around the Olympics.

It's true. I'm goofy like that.

Our family vacation? Planned around the Olympics.

Start of homeschool? Planned around the Olympics.

All other events, camps and extracurriculars? Planned around the Olympics.

I love the Olympics. I pretty much cry from the Opening Ceremony to the end because I find them so inspiring. Dreams realized. Dreams dashed. It's gut-wrenching in all its forms. In a good way.

Blogging? Planned around the Olympics. :)

So in that spirit, I have a few bullet points to share with you today so I can quickly get back to the non-stop TV watching and much-too-late nights.

Item 1: Subscription management switch

First, over the weekend I switched my blog subscription management to FeedBlitz from FeedBurner. Everything looks like it worked smoothly, however if anything is wacky, like you are getting duplicate emails (I'm sorry!!) or if for some reason you no longer receive my updates and would like to, please re-subscribe here.

Of course, if you've never received my updates and would like to, you can also do so here.

Item 2: Perhaps you'd like a boost, you'd like to make money, or both!

Back to School Boost for Moms 300x250

Update: This bundle sale is now over, however, each of the ebooks is still available individually. Thanks so much for your support!

Second, there is a Back to School Boost for Moms ebook bundle sale from Wednesday, August 1 to August 8.

What's that, you ask?

Five bloggers (me included) put five ebooks together in a bundle and we're selling that bundle at a steep discount, namely, $10 (it's almost a $30 value.). A good deal!

So, if you are a mom with kids going back to school and you need a boost, you can buy the bundle here if you'd like (starting August 1). It's all about getting things done in a streamlined way. I love that. Here are the ebooks included:

  1. Create Your Perfect Cleaning Schedule: So You Can Get More Done In Less Time ($5.99) by Christine at I Dream of Clean.
  2. The No Brainer Wardrobe: Get Dressed with More Confidence and Less Fuss ($7.99) by Hayley at The Tiny Twig.
  3. Cupcakes: 12 Months of Hapiness! ($4.99) by Liz at Hoosier Homemade.
  4. Feast in 15: Speed Cooking Weeknight Dinners ($4.99) by Tiffany at Eat At Home.
  5. Tell Your Time: How to Manage Your Schedule So You Can Live Free ($4.99) by Yours Truly (Amy Lynn Andrews) at Blogging with Amy.

But how will it make you money? Well, we've got an affiliate program which pays 50%! In other words, if you sign up as an affiliate, you'll get $5 for every person who buys the bundle via your affiliate link. Wanna give it a whirl?

Alright, that's what I got. Back to the TV. The only bad thing about it is that the gymnastics competition is giving me an ulcer. They should not be allowed to do those very dangerous things.

Comments

  1. I'm getting as far as the 'get affiliate code' but there is no 'eat at home' option to select. The only dropdown option I see is Amy Lynn Andrews.
    Please advise.
It looks like a great bundle!

  2. I already have your book, Amy and love it!! So, I am looking forward to getting the rest of them. $10 for all five is a great frugal bargain (and with no coupons, LOL!)!

  3. Amy … help! How do I get my favicon (my picture and/or logo — I have both) to show up when I am commenting, like Andrea's above!!! I can't figure it out!! Thanks!

  4. Amy, never mind! I had a senior moment …. please forgive me for all of the comments. I found your tutorial on Gravatars … and guess what? The instructions worked … who would have guessed??? LOL!! Thanks for all you do to help me .. and believe me, I need a lot of help!

  5. Man .. I am so sorry .. I am really having a "Senior Moment Day"! I just realized that Amy was talking to you, Andrea. And, Andrea you were most likely talking to Amy when you said "that worked, Thank you" … so my apologies. Just overlook me today … and Amy, I will try to stop cluttering up your comments today. LOL!

  6. So, I just had an epiphany (blog related) that I'm sure you already know about but I thought I'd share in case others didn't.
I am writing my post to introduce the ebook bundle and I want the cute graphics in the post to be clickable and go to the landing page, through my affiliate link.
I went to your tutorial about how to make an image clickable but if I understand correctly, that is for images in the sidebar.
Anyway, so I Inserted the graphic into the post and then, in the visual editor screen, I clicked and highlighted the picture so it has the box around it. Then I clicked on the 'link' button on the tool bar and entered the URL part of the affiliate link from the ejunkie page.
    That made my image clickable.
Is that only new to me? Have you made images, in the body of a post, clickable like that before?
Just sharing a lightbulb moment with you. :)

  7. I also apologize for commenting so much. Back to the Olympics with you…we'll be here when you get back :)

  8. I'm like that with the Olympics, too!

  9. Hi Amy, Long time lurker, first time commenter :)

I have to ask why you switched from feedblitz to feedburner? I recently switched the other way around but can't help but ask about your decision :)

  10. Did it!!!! WHILE watching the Olympics. Teaching-myself-codestuff-as-I-go-along. :)

  11. I'm just trying to get the link now… am I too late? I only see (what looks to be) the single book by Eat At Home. Is there anyway to get the group of books still as an affiliate link (I do realize that tomorrow is the last day!).

  12. Never mind! It was the right one :) . Should have tried the link before commenting!

  13. Angela Ambroise says:

I tried signing up to become an affiliate, but e-junkie just isn't user friendly to me.
