In addition to email templates and filters, here's another cool feature in Gmail that, over the long haul, can really reduce the time you spend managing email.

To Send and Archive Emails in One Step
- Enable "Send & Archive" in Google Labs (Gmail Settings–>Labs).
- Save Changes.
- That's it! Now when you are composing emails, you'll see a "Send & Archive" option.

I love your little quick email tips. I don't use Google Mail, but I use Outlook and many of the things you are saying about Google, have a similar thing I can do in Outlook.
