There are a lot of things to think about when writing an ebook. I came across this list of 100 Questions to Help You Write, Publish, and Sell Your Ebook (hat tip: Kikolani). It's a great list to help you address some of the issues you will undoubtedly face as you write your ebook.
But I think my favorite question was #16:
Can you come up with ten questions your readers might be asking themselves about your topic (each question could correspond to a chapter in your ebook)?
I love this question for 2 reasons:
- Ebooks that provide useful information tend to fare better than those written solely as an "outlet" for the author. Write something that will provide your readers with new information. Be helpful!
- You're killing two birds with one stone in that you're automatically putting together an outline in the process!
If you've been thinking about writing your own ebook (if not, it's totally doable and might just be in your best interest), check out my How to Write an Ebook series and I'll walk you right through!
